Whole Bowl of Joes is pleased to announce their first show of 2010 to take place at the Loop Lounge on Friday June 4th, 2010.

 

Whole Bowl of Joes is in preproduction for the follow up release to "You speaking".

The next release, "me but", will consist of 3-5 songs. This will be the second release in the series, leading up to a full 12+ song album.

Whole Bowl of Joes plans to perform two new songs during their August 21st set at the Loop Lounge. The new song titles are "Scorn" and "Integrity". The main riff and most of the lyrics of "Scorn" were written sometime in late '95-early '96, a few months after "Noni's Basement".

The song went unfinished until a few weeks when the rest of the band woke up with a demo of "Scorn" upon checking their morning email.

The band rehearsed it a few times and decided that Loop Lounge was the place for its debut.

"Scorn" brings up elements of mid-90's alternative with a more modern sound. "Integrity" (working title) will also make its debut in the set. Although not as old as "Scorn", it has been worked on for the last two year. Scorn follows along with WBJ's more recent harder rock/punk edge.
